The ibidi Culture-Insert family is developed for wound healing, co-cultivation, and migration assays of adherent cells. The Culture-Insert 2 Well consists of two wells, separated by a 500 µm wall. A proprietary biocompatible adhesive is applied to the underside of the Culture-Insert which allows it to adhere to any flat, clean, and dry surface. A cell suspension can be placed in the wells allowing the adherent cells to grow in the designated areas only. After cell cultivation, the Culture-Insert can be removed by using sterile tweezers. The removal creates a clean, cell-free, and well-defined 500 µm gap.
